Regional Suicide Advisory Board (RSAB)

SERAC organizes, schedules, and facilitates a quarterly meeting of the Regional Suicide Advisory Board as well as two associated work groups dedicated to the topics of Prevention and Postvention which convene on the respective months between board events.

The goals of the Regional Suicide Advisory Board are to:

  • Integrate and coordinate suicide prevention, intervention, postvention, and grief support and recovery activities across multiple sectors and settings within the 41 towns served.
  • Additionally, the board supports the overall vision of the Statewide Connecticut Suicide Advisory board (CTSAB) and provides the local and regional infrastructure for suicide prevention and postvention response activities.
  • The RSAB sponsors training and presentations on the topic of suicide across the life span as well as in relation to special populations throughout the year.
