An Exploration of the Connection Between Ageism and Mental Illness

PARTICIPANTS WILL:
- Learn about and define ageism
- Explore the connection between ageist attitudes and poor mental health
- Tap into nationally recognized tools to combat ageism and ageist thinking
- Be introduced to some "reframing" efforts happening in Connecticut
The training is provided by Claire Côté, MSW who has over two decades of experience in Connecticut's advocacy and human services fields and currently works for the Department of Aging and Disability Services' State Unit on Aging.
