Crisis Supports and Suicide Prevention for Autistic People
Virtual
This three-hour virtual training will provide learners with ways to support autistic people in crisis using a strength-based approach. Understanding how autistic people think, communicate, and experience the world differently than non-autistic people is crucial in supporting them without causing unintentional harm. Research has found suicide to be a leading cause of death for autistic people.
Lisa Morgan is a consultant specializing in crisis supports and suicide prevention for autistic people.
