Life on the Brink: Anorexia Nervosa and Lethality
Zoom
In this presentation attendees will learn about the high risk of death for patients who have anorexia nervosa with suicide and/or eating disorder complications are the primary reasons. This presentation addresses how it is difficult to know whether eating disorder behaviors alone are a slow form of suicide. We also discuss how patients in eating disorder treatment often have suicidal thoughts.
Presenter Tonya Foreman, M.D. Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at UNC Chapel Hill
